TSUKIJI FISH MARKET EATS #2 🔥

This was elite. I was so excited to eat sushi in Japan because it's guaranteed to always be fresh. The sushi sold here came straight from the Tsukiji fish market. Compared to the United States, it was considerably cheaper as it's much easier to get quality fish fresh in Japan due to how close it is to the ocean. As you can see in the photo, they give a variety of different cuts ranging from toro (fatty) to chutoro (medium fatty) to akami (leaner). At the present time, toro and otoro (fattiest) are valued a lot more than akami because of the fat content and quantity. However, in the Edo period, akami and leaner pieces of tuna were actually valued higher than the fatty pieces. The marbling was fantastic, it was so savory, and there was no funky fish smell. 9.5/10 BUSSINS
