JAPAN IN TORRANCE!

This was AMAZING. When I walked in here, I truly felt like I was back in Japan. This was the best beef I've ever had in Torrance. This dish in particular is called the American Sliced Beef Don. "Don" means bowl in Japanese but usually refers to the "Donburi" which means rice bowl dish. For example, you might've heard of the Gyudon (Beef bowl), Katsudon (Pork Katsu with egg bowl), Unadon (Grilled Eel bowl), and more. But this restaurant specializes in Japanese steak. Ironically, the American Sliced Beef Don originated in Japan. While most American steaks tend to come out sizzling and more oily, Japanese steak tends to be thinner cut and more rare. I prefer the Japanese version because of its soft and easy-to-eat texture but I still love American steak. Thank you Hailey for taking me out to this BUSSIN restaurant!
